Today I happened to be in Madrid, Spain, and enjoyed a boring match that Spain won 3-0 over Austria. Mikel Oyarzabal scored two, Pedro Porto one, to give Spain an easy victory against an Austrian side that added nothing to the tournament; just another proof that 48 are too many teams.
We have not yet seen what Spain are capable of. Future champions usually pace themselves for the important matches; it would appear to be what Spain is doing.
